Breakfast of Champions - Friday 27th

Good morning champion, the weekend is here again, here’s a Friday fry up for you, we are going to stay with the book of Daniel but look at chapter 3 and the famous account of the furnace and the Fourth man, hope this gives you something to think about and digest over the weekend.

Daniel 3: 24 – 25 (NKJV)

Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished; and he rose in haste and spoke, saying to his counselors, “Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?”
They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.”
25 “Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”

·         If you look for Jesus in the whole bible and not just the Gospels you will see Him (or a type or shadow of Him) in every single book, throughout the old testament He pops up, one of the greatest examples of this is here in Daniel 3 when he appears in the fire with the 3 men who stood up for God before Nebuchadnezzar.  If you get chance this weekend to read Daniel 3 go ahead and do it it’s a great chapter.

·         The three men Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego had taken a stand to only worship God they rejected political correctness of their day and stood out in the crowd for it, as with Daniel they had been set up by the other envious leaders, boxed in a corner were it was down to them worshipping a golden man made God to see if they would live or die, they refused and were thrown into a furnace that had been heated 7 times hotter because of the kings annoyance at them.

·         The King thinking He had sorted the problem looked into the furnace and sees the men perfectly well but also another person, the reason He was “like the Son of God” was because He was the son of God!

·         When you take a stand to live a life where you “turn up and stand up for God” He will turn up and stand up for you, in the good places and in the challenging ones too.

·         We do not face a physical furnace but we too face other furnace like challenges in life, the fire of peoples opinion who don’t like God, the fire of mockery and threats of what we could lose, the fires of trials and persecutions stand for Him and He will turn up!

·         As with Daniel in the account of the lion’s den the day ended different to what it began, the day began with them being thrown in a fire for what they believed and a nation that would not recognize their leadership or their God.  The day ended with the people who had set them up being thrown into the furnace, with them being promoted and God becoming famous in the land and honored by the once unbelieving King.

“What a difference a day makes 24 little hours”  live a life where you stand up for Him and he will cause a bad day to turn into a great one!

If you face a furnace today of one sort or another, stay in faith, step into it knowing your righteousness in Him and that God can and will save the day, then wait for everything to turn around for your benefit when the fourth man arrives!!!!!!

It may be a day like it was for them but maybe it is longer, keep trusting the fourth man will be there in perfect time.

God bless you live for the true King (the one who comes and joins you in the furnace).

Breakfast of Champions - Thursday 26th

Greetings, here’s breakfast, it’s the same breakfast we have been eating all week, hope your enjoying it!

Daniel 6: 3

Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm.

·         We have been looking at the subject of excellence and that now that we have the Spirit of Jesus living in us we should have a heart that wants to do things with greater measures of excellence than we did before - Having Gods Spirit in you will never make you worse only ever better!

·         It is good for us to understand that there is a difference between excellence and perfection, so often when people have a spirit of perfection they can strive to do what they there not able to or try to buy what they can’t yet afford and get into a whole lot of trouble, there is a difference between excellence and perfection.

·         To me excellence is simply to live committed to “doing the best you can with what you presently have”. Don’t live in what you have not got mobilize and use to the best of its potential what you do.

·         Remember a few weeks ago when we spoke of Moses Gods response to Him was “use what is presently in your hand” What is in your hand (life) today?  As you are faithful to excellence with that so increase will come for your tomorrow intentions and dreams

When people met Daniel they encountered a Spirit or a heart marked with a big X, His heart was truly Ex-Rated, so should our hearts be in the purest sense.

Our Hearts (spirits) should be:

Expectant – His spirit is the ultimate atmosphere of faith, be believing for great things today independent of what you are currently going through.

Excited – Let your passion for your God and His plans for you flow out of you like a river today and be infectious to others (that’s called evangelism).

Extravagant – Live big, especially when it comes to God give and live Big? Live to do more than enough not just what will do.

And of course Excellent – don’t live trying to do what you can’t with what you don’t have, do the very best you can with what you do!

To many times when people meet Christians they meet people who are negatively X rated they experience people who are, Exhausted, Extinguished and even Exhumed, let that never be us.

Have an awesome day of influence and impact.

Breakfast of Champions - Wednesday 25th

It’s Wednesday, Here’s a healthy thought to get you going.

Let’s stay with the thought of Daniel and His excellent Spirit again today.

Daniel 6:1 -5 (NKJV)

It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom one hundred and twenty satraps, to be over the whole kingdom; 2and over these, three governors, of whom Daniel was one, that the satraps might give account to them, so that the king would suffer no loss. 3Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm. 4So the governors and satraps sought to find some charge against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find no charge or fault, because he was faithful; nor was there any error or fault found in him. 5Then these men said, “We shall not find any charge against this Daniel unless we find it against him concerning the law of his God.”

Living an excellent Life will stir others up.

·         When you choose to live an excellent life (let Gods life flow through you) it will always cause a reaction in others. Some will be motivated and challenged to up there game and live at a higher level but as we see with Daniel others will be annoyed because it challenges them but they don’t want to deal with challenge.

·         Look at verse 4 Daniel living an excellent life challenged the other leaders and instead of seeing Daniel as a great “pace setter” they turned nasty and tried to set Him up to bring him down.

·         Why could they not have any joy easily setting Him up?  Verse 4 says “because He was faithful” when they brought His life under the microscope they could not find infection why, because excellence went through to the bones of who he was, His faithful lifestyle made sure that there were no corners that could let him down, wow that inspires me how about you? It says there was no error or fault in Him!

·         When you read on in the story you see that they had to resort to setting him up according to His prayer life because there simply was no ammunition they could use, why because He was a man committed to excellence which meant all the banners were straight and the little things taken care of.

·         Living from an excellent Spirit sets you up to be blameless and people have to resort to lies and set ups to catch you out, this is how God would have us to live.

·         They eventually set Him up according to His prayer life because they knew that he prayed 3 times a day, that’s amazing they set him up in accordance to His faithfulness, they could set him up in this because they knew he would not miss his prayer time (excellence and faithfulness).

·         It’s all good, they did set Him up but God had His back and what was meant to bring Him down ended up getting Him lifted higher, that’s what happens when you live a God filled excellent life, everything you enemy throws at you only gets you promoted.

Hope your challenged by Daniel, I am, today again live in such a way that you motivate some to up there game and aggravate others any response is better than no response.

Bless ya

Andy

Breakfast of Champions - Tuesday 24th

Good morning champion.

·         An excellent Spirit was in Him, remember today that an excellent Spirit is now in you, as Paul said to the Corinthians don’t act anymore like a mere man instead remember you are now a God filled temple, you are the temple (dwelling place) of the Holy Spirit God’s most excellent Spirit. (1 Corinthians 3: 2-4 & 16).  God does not live in buildings made by men but in the Hearts of His followers, that’s you and me.

·         Look at the life of Jesus He lived with and daily released a spirit of excellence, He did all things well.  Now that His spirit (the same Spirit) is resident in our lives so should we, as we acknowledge the residency of His Spirit in our lives we should then flow with excellence in what we do.

·         One thing that defines when an excellent Spirit is in the house is that the small things are not over looked, people who do not value excellence leave the little things or choose to only do the things they want to.  A person of an excellent Spirit sees the whole and always takes care of the little (not seen by man) as well as the large (that which gets applause) make sure today you are ruling over and taking responsibility for those small things in your world, remember it is the little foxes that ruin the vineyard (Song of Solomon 2:15).

-          Return the calls and emails you said you would.

-          To the best of your ability be on time for appointments not late

-          Finish what you start, don’t be known as the one who always leaves first but as the one who finishes well.

There are so many examples but the principle is the same.

·         Remember the enemy of excellence is “that’ll do” Like Daniel don’t settle for “that’ll do” in your life or in what you do, I had a guy in church once who wanted the best jobs going, the trouble is I gave him the banners to put up and each and every week I looked at them they were wonky yet He wanted the “important jobs” My problem was I understand the principle of God that says what you do with little you do with much” (Luke 16:10) and I did not want more important tasks (involving people) done with a “that’ll do” or it’s nearly straight attitude. Today be great, be excellent with the things others think are insignificant, the king is watching at you will catch His attention if you do.

·         Let’s show the world how excellent our God is by releasing His excellence through the way we choose to live, especially in the bits were no one is watching.

God bless have a great day, live from your excellent Spirit.

Breakfast of Champions - Monday 23rd

Good morning welcome to a brand new week filled with Gods plans and intentions for your life.

This week I want to inspire you to consider the man in the Old Testament called Daniel there are some great things we can learn from his life, he chose to live full on for God, he lived as a champion and we can learn much from Him.

·         Daniel was a man living in a nation that was not originally His place of birth or upbringing, His nation had been taken over by Babylon, It may not have been His nation but He prospered in it and was promoted to the best place,  remember God can promote and prosper his people anywhere!

·         Daniel distinguished himself (stood out from the crowd) above all the other leaders even those who were locals why?  Because he was a man of an excellent Spirit, He was a man of excellence, what he did, he always did well.

·         Excellence is a key to promotion when you like Daniel choose to live an excellent life with an excellent spirit you will rise to the top whatever crowd you find yourself in!

·         It was His excellent Spirit that caught the attention of the King, when we live putting value on excellence we too will catch the attention of Kings (important people).  The king had been looking for someone to give great responsibility too, he had seen performers and gifted people but then he saw Daniel a man who did things with excellence and gave him the job.

Why? Here’s a few reasons

Excellence turns up on time – you can have great talent or gift, but if it is not where it is meant to be on time what use is it long term?

Excellence Does not leave till things are finished – Which means you don’t have to manage other people loose ends.

Excellence does not cut corners – which means you do not have to follow behind the person patching things up that were done average.

There are many more but they will give you something to think about today.

Any employer worth His weight would look for excellence in someone he was going to promote, guess what so does Jesus our King as we commit like Daniel to live with a spirit of excellence he will use us and send us to do things others only ever dream of.

More tomorrow, have a great day!

Andy

Breakfast of Champions - Friday 20th

Greetings to you, its Friday again.

Friday fry up is served.

There more on your side than on there’s

2 Kings 6: 16-18 (New International Version)

"Don't be afraid," the prophet answered. "Those who are with us are more than those who are with them." 17 And Elisha prayed, "O LORD, open his eyes so he may see." Then the LORD opened the servant's eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

This is a great account of someone suddenly seeing things as they really are namely the prophet Elisha’s servant, if you get the chance today read this account it is awesome 2 Kings 6: 8 – 18.

Basically what is happening with this account is that God is using Elisha to let one king know the movements of His enemy and the bad king finds out and sends an army to get Elisha to obviously solve this problem and stop it happening.

So this certain morning the servant wakes up first has a stretch looks out of the window as he normally did to the shocking picture that they are surrounded by an army sent to get them, he then runs and wakes up Elisha probably screaming something like “help God, we are all gonna die!”

Elisha then calmly says to him don’t be afraid, prays for Him that he would see the whole picture.  As he does God opens the servants eyes and he sees the fiery armies of the Lord surrounding the attacking army, they both relax and have a cuppa, it’s all good.

·         Make sure that when you are looking at challenging situations today that you allow God to open your Spiritual eyes so that you can see His larger provision or answer surrounding you.

·         Armies of problems may come with an agenda towards you but God will always release a far bigger army (or plan) to protect you, focus on the bigger God sent thing not the smaller man sent one, that’s faith.

·         Elisha prayed for His servants spiritual blindness sometimes we may need to pray for our own, If problems suddenly look to big that’s a real good time to pray the prayer Elisha prayed over your own visual potential.

·         God has given you natural eyesight but also Spiritual eyesight make sure that both of them are 20/20 and that you are seeing things clearly, Remember we walk by faith (a God empowered 6th sense) and not by sight (natural sight).

·         Catch this in your heart this morning Those who are with us are more than those who are with them." No matter how things are looking naturally this morning, there is more with you, you have more going for you because God is for you!

I pray that your eyes would be open and that you would see the armies of the Lord (Gods provision or remedy)today, and that your heart would not be afraid but at perfect peace because you have seen what they have not yet seen!

Walk with Confidence and have a fantastic weekend of victory.

Breakfast of Champions – Thursday 19th

Sorry Guys, more like brunch today my computer was playing up, enjoy

Good Morning, here's breakfast.

Romans 5: 17 (New King James Version)
For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)
This is one of my all time favorite verses in it we find both the goodness and the generosity of God towards us.

·         The good news of the message of redemption is that if it took one perfect man (Adam) to get us all in to trouble (separation to God) then it takes just one perfect man (Jesus) to get us out of it. Offence and death reigned through one man (Adam) and we all by natural birth became partakers of it becoming  separated from God and His life. But now righteousness has come as a gift and reigns in those who put their faith Jesus.  In Him we find new birth and reconciliation and can  stand justified in the site of God the Father having every sin (past, present and future) settled by His one-time blood sacrifice at the cross.

·         Notice how it says "much more"  Grace and righteousness causes us to reign much more than what the Sin of Adam held us in the captivity of death.

·         Receive – remember it says we receive not achieve, everything we get from God is received not earnt or begged, we enter into all the things of God by faith and receive them as gifts not achievements or wages paid for things done.

·         Abundance - today in Christ you have and do receive abundance of Grace (God's undeserved, un-earnt, unmerited favor) for every situation that you may face. Our God is the God of Abundance (Ephesians 3:20) and His grace is sufficient for you.

·         Righteousness (right standing with God) is a gift!!!!!!!! And by it we rule and reign in life!

·         Today again make the quality choice to turn away from trying to impress God by performance or earn things from Him to receiving by faith from Him as a gift everything you need to rule and reign in this life.

·         Jesus has positioned you to rule and reign in Life though Him , GET UP AND REIGN!

God bless you have a great day.

Andy

Breakfast of Champions – Wednesday 18th

Good morning.
Psalm 121: 1 – 3 (NIV)
I lift up my eyes to the hills - where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. 3 He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber;
·         The first 3 verses of this Psalm start with a question and ends with a statement of persuasion and a declaration of faith!  Ever asked that question, where does my help come from?  Or maybe where will my help come from in this situation I am facing right now?
The answer given in this Psalm is your answer too, your help whatever that help looks like comes from the Lord, He is and will always be the source of your help don't look to the hills with question marks look to your Lord he fails not!

·         Great qualifications, my help comes from the maker of heaven and earth, when I think about that it makes Him totally overqualified to help me with my current situations, He who slung the stars into space cares for me and has appointed himself my Helper.

·         Another great part of this promise is, he will not let your foot slip! Remember the steps of a righteous man (which is what you are through faith in Christ) are ordered of God.  Where you are walking at the moment may feel a bit slippery but He will keep your foot from slipping.

·         Your never sleeping help. He that watches over you does not slumber, he has your back and never takes His eyes off of you, thank God he does not nod off but is constant in his help and assistance, he offers a 24 – 7 service.

Today he is your Help!  Again let the confidence of David be yours, even when you are in the midst of stuff

Psalm 54:3-4 (New International Version)

Strangers are attacking me; ruthless men seek my life— men without regard for God. Selah 4 Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me.

·         But you may say, "but he is a long way away , he is in heaven and I am here". Wrong remember he promised I will never leave you or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). When he rose from the dead He then sent His Spirit to remain on the earth with us and to reside within us, so that we would never be caught off guard or helpless.  The Holy Spirit resides in you today, He is there to help, remember How Jesus introduced Him.

John 15: 26 (NKJV)
But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.

Oh yes, He is a very present help in time of trouble, (Psalm 46:1) very present and ever present, don't look to the hills or to men today but lift your head and look to God and declare as David did, My help comes from the Lord, maker of heaven and earth!  As you do you can feel faith and hope rush though your system why?  Because that is the truth my friend, He really is.

Have an awesome day, don't forget to ask for help when you need it!

Andy

Breakfast of Champions – Tuesday 17th

Good morning Hero's welcome to another day of destiny.

As we learnt last week you are not here by mistake, God put you here and he has plans for you, plans of prosperity, hope and future.  Sometimes when he asks you to do things for Him you look at what you have in your life and wonder how is that ever gonna happen?
In this account of Moses we see Moses feel the same, God had just called him to go face to face with Pharaoh and to command Him to release the nation of Israel who were the slaves of the land.
Moses with His speech problem thinks "ok what tools you giving me God because what I have and what i own right now in my life is not enough to pull that task off", look at Gods response to Him.

Exodus 4: 1 - 5 (NKJV)
Then Moses answered and said, "But suppose they will not believe me or listen to my voice; suppose they say, 'The LORD has not appeared to you.'"
2 So the LORD said to him, "What is that in your hand?" He said, "A rod." 3 And He said, "Cast it on the ground." So he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it. 4 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Reach out your hand and take it by the tail" (and he reached out his hand and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand), 5 "that they may believe that the LORD God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you."

Moses was probably looking for a new download or some military equipment the very least a helicopter? Gods response was "what's in your hand?"  In that statement God said a whole lot:

1.       Everything you need to do what I have called you to do is in your life already, don't wait for a divine download just let me empower what you already have and are and you watch with amazement at what you can do.

2.       Moses had carried that rod around for years leading sheep with it but he never saw it the way that God did.  I bet he never imagined it could do tricks and part oceans at crucial moments.  We need to realize that like Moses we too sometimes underestimate everyday things in our life and we all need to dare to see everyday things with the potential God does.

3.       The truth is that  it was just a rod made of wood, cousin to the branch uncle to the toothpick but when God empowered it then it was able to assist Moses to deliver a nation.  When you allow God to use the everyday things in your life you too will be amazed at what they are really able to do.

4.       Stop looking at what you think you have not got and begin to commit to Him daily what you do!  Don't live life waiting for a package that could come begin to look a fresh at what God has already given you in the light of its potential with Gods touch on it.  He has blessed each and every one of us with different gifts, abilities and talents bring them again to Him today and let him turn what looks to you like a stick into something that impacts lives and situations.

5.       Remember the account of the disciples when they met the crippled man at gate beautiful, He asked them for money but they responded, "silver and Gold have we none but such as we have we will give to you".  Don't spend your life looking at what you don't have let God do something supernatural with what you do have.  With such as you have make a difference in the world!

I remember when I was first saved I used to look at all the educated eloquent speakers and ministers then I would look at me, uneducated yes even unpolished in comparison. But one day I stopped comparing myself and looking at what was not there and gave God what I had for Him to use. I remember the exact prayer, " God all I have is a big mouth and a vivid imagination, they are yours to use". I am sure you will agree he took those sticks and empowered them and they are very effective for his kingdom today.

What's in your hand today, offer it to God and see what happens next!

Bless you, live extra large today and remember that everyday thing you have lived with for years may be a supernatural tool!

Andy

WHY NOT LISTEN TOO PART 1 OF A TWO PART SERIES ME AND STEUART DID ON TITHING, PART 2 WILL BE SENT LATER IN THE WEEK, BE INSPIRED:

Breakfast of Champions – Monday 16th

Good morning, welcome to a brand new week, I pray that this will be a week where you know Gods goodness and favor.

Breakfast.
Isaiah 54:17 (New King James Version)
No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me," Says the LORD.
Because you are in Christ and belong to God you can know today that God speaks this promise over your life today and over your tomorrows.

·         People may fashion weapons against you but they shall not prosper, those weapons may be plans or schemes, the promise of the Lord is that as you stay in your God given righteousness and keep loving Him none of these things sent to harm you will harm you or remain.
·         No arrow made for you or aimed at you will hurt you.
·         It speaks not just of plans and schemes fashioned to  harm you but also tongues that rise against you in Judgment, again as you walk in your God given righteousness (which is by Faith) He will condemn lies spoken about you and defuse lies sent to harm your good name.
·         The key is to daily know the righteousness you have in Him and make the daily decision to stand in it, as you do things meant to harm you will not prosper and you will walk in God's blessing not harm.
·         According to God, This is our heritage.

Look at the life of Daniel everything sent to harm Him did not, He was set up to become lion food but the people who wrongly accused Him (set him up) ended up being what the lions ate for dinner that night, stay in truth and righteousness and God will turn things around for you're good.

Also think of Mordecai, Esther's uncle he was being set up by an evil ruler called Haman set up for things he never did, Haman actually had gallows built to have him hung, but at the end of the story Haman ended up hanging on the gallows he had fashioned or had built Gods man Mordecai.

They may fashion things for your harm but when God steps in we do not get hurt by things fashioned against us but rather witness God turn things around for our Good.

NO WEAPON FASHIONED AGAINST YOU TODAY WILL PROSPER, "GOD HAS GOT YOUR BACK"!

Just walk in truth and righteousness and with confidence leave everything that is going on behind the scenes to him – that's called faith.

Bless you get ready for a great week.
