Good morning.
Psalm 121: 1 – 3 (NIV)
I lift up my eyes to the hills - where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. 3 He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber;
· The first 3 verses of this Psalm start with a question and ends with a statement of persuasion and a declaration of faith! Ever asked that question, where does my help come from? Or maybe where will my help come from in this situation I am facing right now?
The answer given in this Psalm is your answer too, your help whatever that help looks like comes from the Lord, He is and will always be the source of your help don't look to the hills with question marks look to your Lord he fails not!
· Great qualifications, my help comes from the maker of heaven and earth, when I think about that it makes Him totally overqualified to help me with my current situations, He who slung the stars into space cares for me and has appointed himself my Helper.
· Another great part of this promise is, he will not let your foot slip! Remember the steps of a righteous man (which is what you are through faith in Christ) are ordered of God. Where you are walking at the moment may feel a bit slippery but He will keep your foot from slipping.
· Your never sleeping help. He that watches over you does not slumber, he has your back and never takes His eyes off of you, thank God he does not nod off but is constant in his help and assistance, he offers a 24 – 7 service.
Today he is your Help! Again let the confidence of David be yours, even when you are in the midst of stuff
Psalm 54:3-4 (New International Version)
Strangers are attacking me; ruthless men seek my life— men without regard for God. Selah 4 Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me.
· But you may say, "but he is a long way away , he is in heaven and I am here". Wrong remember he promised I will never leave you or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). When he rose from the dead He then sent His Spirit to remain on the earth with us and to reside within us, so that we would never be caught off guard or helpless. The Holy Spirit resides in you today, He is there to help, remember How Jesus introduced Him.
John 15: 26 (NKJV)
But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.
Oh yes, He is a very present help in time of trouble, (Psalm 46:1) very present and ever present, don't look to the hills or to men today but lift your head and look to God and declare as David did, My help comes from the Lord, maker of heaven and earth! As you do you can feel faith and hope rush though your system why? Because that is the truth my friend, He really is.
Have an awesome day, don't forget to ask for help when you need it!
