Good morning welcome to a new week, filled with opportunities and God plans for your life!
John 4: 35 (NKJV)
Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!
· Do not live your life ever thinking “ I will do that in a few months time” for many things the greatest time to do is now, procrastination is not a friend to your life don’t treat it like one.
· Sometimes we do have to wait, sometimes God makes us wait or take time to journey towards something (pilgrimage) but other times it just us not being motivated or finding it easier to file in a place called “ I will do that later” these are the ones I want to challenge you and me with again this morning.
· Jesus told His disciples in reference to the harvest of men’s souls, not four month now!
Live with a sense of Carpe Vitam
Most of us have heard of the Latin phrase “Carpe Diem” which means seize the day (more literal is harvest your day), I love the sense of seizing or harvesting my day, but my day is not enough there is more to be harvested that is why I found the Latin word for Life and changed the quote in my life to Carpe Vitam, seize your life!
There are many well know proverbs around today all contain an element of wisdom.
- A stitch in time saves nine
- The early bird catches the worm, yeah you know them and a lot more.
- Heard this one? You don’t know what you got till it’s gone!
I want to oppose or re-write that one because I don’t think it suits our lives and destiny’s, it’s simply not big enough or good enough for God lovers. I have officially changed it in my world to this.
“NO WHAT YOU HAVE AND FULLY APPRECIATE IT (milk every ounce of milk out of it) WHILE YOU STILL HAVE IT”
Think about that today what do you have that you’re not making the most of or that you could appreciate a whole lot more while you still have it?
- Health – If you have health enjoy it, max it, use it.
- Youth – This has a shelf life though is relative, whatever you got left use it, appreciate it.
- Relationships – No one promised that those who are in your life now will always be there, don’t live in fear but do live in present appreciation.
There you go, that has given you something to think about, will carry on tomorrow.
Know what you have and make the most of it of them not in four months but today, your life is ripe for harvest now!
Bless you
Andy
