Good Morning Champion

=GOD HAS GOT YOUR BACK COVERED=

Isaiah 59 :19 (NKJV)
So shall they fear The name of the Lord from the west, And His glory from
the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of
the Lord will lift a standard against him.

This is a great promise for those who have placed their faith in the Lord.
It says that when we come under any form of attack from the common enemy of
our soul, Satan, God steps in with a standard that blocks Him. One
definition of a standard is the flag of a victorious army used as they
marched into battle. Think about it this way, when the power of darkness
(the enemy) comes to attack us, our God steps in and holds the victory flag
of Christ in his way, "against him (Satan)". When he sees it he is reminded
of the victory of the lion of Judah and he has to retreat and run for the
hills.

I heard it taught once by a Bible scholar that in his study of these verses
he found that the translators had actually put a comma in the wrong place
when translating it and that the verse should actually read this way:

-When the enemy comes in,like a flood The Spirit of the Lord will lift a
standard against him.-

I personally like that better because when the power of darkness comes
against us, God's provision and protection immediately comes in like a flood
against him. By changing the location of the comma back to where it was
originally placed, the force or power of "the flood" then refers to God's
response to Satan's apparent overwhelming attacks rather than to the amount
or power of the attack sent to harm us by Satan.

Champion , God is so for you today and He has your back covered. The enemy
may have plans for you because you have chosen to live extra large for God
but remember God's standard will always come in like a flood against every
attack and His standard will always make that defeated enemy run for his
life.

Good morning Champion

=GET FROM EVERY SEASON ALL IT HAS FOR YOU=

John 4: 35 (NKJV)
Do you not say, 'There are still four months and then comes the harvest'?
Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are
already white for harvest!

The journey (pilgrimage) of life is certainly a journey of
different seasons. The art of living well is to make sure that you live
(milk the goodness out of) each and every season by both sowing into and
reaping from each and every one of them. Being alive means that we will all
walk through the various seasons of life. Here is a classic verse from the
wisdom of Ecclesiastes to make you think this morning.

Ecclesiastes 3: 1-2 (NKJV)
To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven: 2 A
time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck
what is planted;

If you get chance read the rest of this classic chapter to see the different
types of seasons each and every one of us face as we journey through this
thing called life. Like King David said in Psalm 37:25, we will all
experience being young and being old and every season in between. I have met
some older people that live in the regret of not being a teenager anymore
and I have met younger people that can't wait for a later season of life
(like being married), but the problem is they are missing the season they
are in. Neither of these are good enough. The answer to how to get the most
out of life is to love the season you're in.

You can't go back and re-live seasons gone but you can learn from them. You
really don't want to fast forward to future seasons because when the ones
you are in are gone, like flowers, when they have flourished they are gone
for good. The key for us all today is to Carpe (seize) the one you're in!!!
So choose today to learn from seasons gone, love the one you're in and with
faith and expectancy have excitement concerning the ones yet to come that
are promised by your God. Every season has something for you so make sure
you harvest it out!
To everything there is a season. There are seasons of age, seasons of
relationship, seasons of ministry and business, seasons of everything,and in
them all there is a time to plant and a time to pluck (harvest) what was
planted.

Here is some food for thought for you today as you consider the seasons that
you are currently in:

- What seasons are you in today? Is it time to plant (sow) or to pluck up
(harvest)?
- Are you getting from this season everything that you should be or could
be? Are you milking out everything that is in the season to be had?
- What else do you need to do to enjoy and seize the season you are in?

God bless you and I pray that this season of your life prospers. Don't say
in four months but make the decision to live large today the life God has
given!

=BE READY FOR YOUR MOMENT.=

John 4: 35 (NKJV)
Do you not say, 'There are still four months and then comes the harvest'?
Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are
already white for harvest!

We have been looking at living outside of procrastination, living with a
desire to harvest and seize what is in our worlds now. Too many people are
waiting for what may come one day. We need to remain in faith concerning
the yet unseen of God in our future, but we must also be the people that
Carpe (grab) the day. We looked at relationships yesterday and today I want
to challenge you with opportunities. I believe God brings and offers
opportunities to us all at different times and we have a choice to grab them
(carpe them) or let them pass us by. Live in such a way that with wisdom you
seize opportunities, especially those which are authored and sent by God.

At different times in the Bible you see God turn up and offer something,
then you get to witness some who Carpe the God-offers and opportunities and
those who don't. Think of Elisha and that moment when Elijah walked across
the field and offered him His mantle. God's intention was clear and the
choice was now Elijah's. He chose to burn his plow and step into His God-
opportunity. He could have chosen to keep on plowing. When the disciples
were fishing they never saw Jesus coming, but He had been watching them.
Suddenly, a God-opportunity comes out of nowhere Jesus says, "Drop your nets
and follow me…" Again, they had the choice to say, "No thanks, we like
fishing!" Instead, they courageously seized the moment and stepped into
their destiny. Sadly, the rich, young ruler thought that he was ready for
his moment but when the cost was explained he really wasn't.

- God will always bring opportunity to you. Some small, some large ,some
bigger than you could have ever imagined, but make sure you are ready for
the 'no warning' offer of God when it comes.

- Let us all make the choice like the wise virgins to live ready, not just
for the 2nd coming of Christ but for those divine opportunities that
suddenly come that need us to respond with faith, not fear.

- I believe He prepares you for these moments when you are not even
noticing. I believe He had been working on the heart of Elisha prior to
Elijah's arrival. He had been working on the heart of the fisherman before
the one time offer came. He is working on our hearts now concerning future
moments and opportunities that are on the way.

King David was prepared for his opportunity with Goliath while defeating
lions and bears. Look at it this way, what you are getting victory with
today is setting you up for golden opportunities that God is going to bring
to you in your tomorrows.
Live ready for God moments because they come to us all!

Good morning, Champion.

=NEVER BE TOO BUSY FOR RELATIONSHIPS=

John 4:35 (NKJV)
Do you not say, 'There are still four months and then comes the harvest'?
Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are
already white for harvest!

Picking up from yesterday, then – know, enjoy, appreciate and love what you
have while you have it, don't wait to appreciate it when it is gone! We
ended yesterday on the thought of relationships: relationships are a gift in
your life from God, so always make sure you are appreciating or getting the
most out of each of them. The sad fact is, as we said yesterday, not
everyone that is in your life now will be there as they are now in a few
years time - this is so worth thinking about. I hope that thought does not
cause fear but rather motivation, which in turn will deliver you from the
chance of any "wish I had" regrets later on.

_Parents/Grandparents_ – Make the most of every stage of your children's
life and development. When they are through certain stages they are so often
done with them forever and those stages are never repeated. Like flowers in
a field take time to smell the daily scent of who they are and where they
are at now in this thing called life. Remember, their lives are not like DVD
players, so don't live with your finger on Fast Forward or you will miss
stuff. Don't live as if there is a Rewind and you will be able to see it all
another time when you're not so busy. You won't! Keep your finger on Play
and enjoy "real time" life playing out daily before you, and make sure you
join in with it.

_Kids_ (however old you are) – However many parents you have left and no
matter what age they are, make the choice to live in such a way that you
_carpe_ the juice out of those relationships! The sad heritage for kids is
that we all say goodbye to our parents one day and that is the right way
round (there is the hopeful assurance of reuniting with them in the next leg
of eternity). Again, it's not about living with fear or regret but purposing
in our hearts to get the most out of these relationships - not in four
months time but now! As many of you know, a couple of years my mum died of
cancer. It was so fast, she went into a hospital with back pain and four
weeks later died in a hospice. I loved my mum; she was a great mum and an
inspiration and mentor to my faith in God. I remember sitting in that
hospice day and night in those last few days trying to get as many moments
as I could with her and from her. The reality is, the moments were always
there for many years previously - it was not that I did not want them, but I
was busy: thinking back, maybe too busy? Maybe if I had that chance again I
would be less busy. Come on, Champion - make that phone call, arrange that
visit, forgive, love. They're worth it!

Also with friends, we all like to think that the friends who are close in
our life now will always be there in that same way; truth is not many will
be. Marriage, great job offers, and many other things come to put distant
between once-close friendships. Some stay close for ever but not all. Again,
don't live in the fear of people moving on because that is natural. Some
move out of your life, to some degree or another, to make room for others to
move in. Live to love, enjoy and harvest the best of who is in your world
now! Thank God for e-mails and mobile phones that even those who move are
never that far.

Children, parents, family and friends: they are all gifts from God for you.
Let's all be inspired to get the most out of all these gifts while they are
still in our possession. Busy is good - the hand of the diligent rules; but
let's make sure a part of our "busy" is special people.

Good Morning Champion and welcome to a brand new week.

=YOUR LIFE IS RIPE FOR HARVEST NOW!=

John 4: 35 (NKJV)
Do you not say, 'There are still four months and then comes the harvest'?
Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are
already white for harvest!

Here's some good advice champion, don't live your life ever thinking, "I
will do that in a few months time". The greatest time to do many things is
now. Procrastination is not a friend to your life and don't treat it like
one. Yes, there are times we do have to wait, and sometimes God makes us
wait or take time to journey towards something (pilgrimage). Other times it
is our lack of motivation or simply finding it easier or simpler to live in
a place called "I will do that later", and this is the attitude and
behaviour that I want to challenge you and me with again this morning. Jesus
told His disciples in reference to the harvest of men's souls, not four
months now! I sense there may well be delays in our lives He wants to
remove.

-Live with a sense of "Carpe Vitam"-
Most of us have heard of the Latin phrase "Carpe Diem" which means seize the
day (a more literal translation being harvest your day). I love the sense of
seizing or harvesting my day, but my day is not enough. There is more to be
harvested and that is why I found the Latin word for life and changed the
quote in my life to Carpe Vitam, seize your life!
There are many well know proverbs around today which all contain an element
of wisdom.

- A stitch in time saves nine.
- The early bird catches the worm. You know them and a lot more.
- Heard this one? You don't know what you've got till it's gone!

I want to oppose or dare to re-write that one because I don't think it suits
our lives as believers. It's simply not big enough or good enough for God
lovers. I have officially changed it in my world to this:
"KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE AND FULLY APPRECIATE IT (milk every ounce of goodness
out of it) WHILE YOU STILL HAVE IT"
Think about that today. WHAT do you have that you're not making the most of
today? Are there things or people you could appreciate a whole lot more
while you still have them?

- Health
- Youth
- Relationships

There you go, that has given you something to think about. We will carry on
tomorrow with this thought. Today, know what you have and make the most of
it, and of them, not in four months, but today. Your life is so ripe for
harvest now!

A little while ago Hillsong Church captured this awesome thought in one of
their inspiring songs, and as they are always so good at, made it very
catchy and easy to sing. I often find myself driving around singing it, "The
same power that conquered the grave lives in me, lives in me". It is a great
sing along but it needs to be more than that in our lives. It needs to be an
ever life-defining revelation. It needs to drop two feet from our mouths to
our hearts because this really is the powerful truth that determines our
true potential and capabilities.
'The same Spirit', think about that for a moment, the same Spirit that
raised Jesus from the dead lives in you. Wow, suddenly the previously
settled dimensions of what causes things to be possible and impossible for
you begin to change and realign before your very eyes. That is why Paul
could confidently say, "I can do all things." Let him finish his statement
and you will see why. Here is why, "through Christ who gives me strength".
It was Paul's revelation of the indwelling Spirit of the resurrection life
of Christ that brought him to this absolute. That same revelation is ours to
own today.
His Spirit causes things to live!
It says if He lives in you He causes life in your mortal body. The truth is
that if His life-giving Spirit is resident in your life He makes everything
come alive such as visions, dreams, health, etc. Truly everywhere the river
of His presence is allowed to flow it brings life and raises things from a
dead state!

Activated by acknowledgment
The daily activation of this internal potential and life force is simply the
result of acknowledgement which is a coming into agreement with what the
Word says is a reality concerning you. Let me leave you with a great
activation verse from Philemon:

Philemon 6 (NKJV)
That the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of
every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

The effective outworking of your faith is the result of you acknowledging
what is already in you in Christ Jesus. What is in you? The same power that
conquered the grave, that's what.

Good morning you champion. Here is something for you to chew on.

=CALLED TO CAUSE TROUBLE!=

Acts 17: 6 (NKJV)
But when they did not find them, they dragged Jason and some brethren to the
rulers of the city, crying out, "These who have turned the world upside down
have come here too.

What a great reputation! I personally believe that this is the reputation
of the Spirit-filled, God- lover. We are not called to fit in to everything
that society and life expects us to or deems normal, but rather we are
called of God to be people who turn the world upside down. Poor, old Jason
got into mega trouble for housing some "followers of Jesus". Would we get
someone into trouble if we went to stay with them this week? Would Christ
in us turn something upside down when we "passed through"? What a great
challenge.

Whatever realm of life that God has called you to function in, make sure
that when you look in the mirror before leaving your house, you see someone
called of God to turn things upside down.

How? Simple make the decision that where ever you find yourself you are
going to:

1. Stand up for Jesus and His kingdom and don't shrink back.
2. Live for the truth of God's Word. Let it be what determines your
absolutes not the so called wisdom which comes from an ever-changing and
confused society.
3. Remember you are only on this planet once. Live in such a way that your
life has a unique flavor. Stand out. Have definition and don't settle for
bland!

What we believe (God's truth) should make us stick out in the crowd. It
should be turning wrong thinking and behavior upside down, and let's face
it, it is destined to cause trouble.

Acts 17: 6 (NIV)
These men who have caused trouble all over the world have now come here,

The Gospel is not a sedative meant to quiet you down, but rather it is a
divine stimulant meant to fire you up. It's an empowering license to live
passionately for a cause that changes people's lives and lasts for eternity.
Come on, let's get the Church its world-changing reputation back. Realize
that Jesus, the revolutionary, lives in you and have a world-shaking day.
How? Let Him out!

Good morning. Here's breakfast. I hope you're hungry.

=THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY LIVES IN YOU!=

Acts 2:17-18 (NKJV)
And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out
of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your
young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. 18 And on My
menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days;
And they shall prophesy.

Here is the classic promise concerning the Spirit that was spoken of by
Peter just after the initial outpouring of the Spirit at Pentecost. He was
referring to the prophecy of Joel -(Joel 2: 28 – 32)- found in the Old
Testament. Jesus had now fully risen from the dead and as promised, had
poured out His Spirit on the Church and the good news for us today is that
He never called Him back to heaven. This means that the same Spirit that
filled those early believers still fills our lives today-- the same Spirit!

It says that when the Spirit is present (poured out) people would begin to
dream and have vision and that they will prophesy. Men and women will begin
to prophesy (speak out God's plans and Word and proclaim things that are to
come). Are you a manservant or maidservant of the Lord? If so, then start to
prophecy more into your life and the world God has given you influence in.
Begin to listen to what the Spirit of God is saying deep within you
concerning the situations you are facing. Begin to speak the Word of the
Lord regarding those things that are overwhelming you and that seem
physically impossible to handle.

People have made prophesy weird and spooky and seemingly un-doable by normal
everyday folk, but that is not how God designed it. Jesus is the Spirit of
prophecy and He resides within your life. This means in any given situation
He has something better to say about the outcome. Oh that we would have ears
to hear, faith to believe, and confidence to proclaim the intentions of God
over the things we daily face. It is written, "AND THEY WILL PROPHECY…," so
you do not have to be a prophet to prophecy, just a servant of the Lord and
a son or daughter of His kingdom. Today, if there is something in your
world that needs to turn around then don't stay silent but begin to prophesy
by finding God's Word for the situation from the Bible and then speaking the
Word and the plans of God over it. Remember that spoken words of faith can
still move mountains in the 21st century.

Bless you today. Don't stay silent. The Spirit has been poured out and
never withdrawn so listen to Him today and begin to speak out with
confidence what you hear, and as you do, you are agreeing with God!

Good morning Champion. Welcome to another week. Here is breakfast.

=WHAT’S THE ADDRESS OF YOUR SECRET PLACE?=

Psalm 91: 1-2 (NKJV)
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the
shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my
fortress; My God, in Him I will trust."

Though your daily Christian life needs to have a public expression (your
evangelistic lifestyle, living out what you believe on a daily basis), you
cannot survive with just a public expression, it is vital that we all have a
"secret garden" or private place with the Lord. In my message the secret
garden I refer to how Jesus in the last moments of His life, those moments
before all hell would be let loose on Him, chose not a revival meeting or
public place but rather a quiet corner of a garden called Gethsemane. It
was in that secret place that He found the strength and courage He needed
for everything that lay ahead that night.

We must remember that we too find our strength and ability in the secret
place we have with God and not in the public arena of our Christianity. It
is in the secret place of the Most High where there is the audience of just
one that we are as Jesus was, made strong. Let's make sure that our
Christianity is not just a public affair but that it also has a very special
secret place.

Here's some question to provoke you to thought today:

* Do you have a secret place in your relationship with God?
* Do you go there as much as you need to?
* What do you need to do to make sure that you get from the secret place
everything God has for you in it?

Lets finish today by reading the next part of this Psalm to see what happens
for us and to us when we choose to abide, "make our home in", the secret
place of the Most High. As we read it ask yourself, "Why would I NOT abide
there"?

3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the
perilous pestilence.
4 He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take
refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that
flies by day,
6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that
lays waste at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
8 Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, Even the Most High,
your dwelling place,
10 No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your
ways.
12 In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against
a stone.

Good morning, Champion - breakfast is served.

=THE WORLD CAN'T TAKE WHAT IT DIDN'T GIVE=

Hebrews 10:35-36
Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you
have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may
receive the promise.

In the gospels Jesus revealed the devil as a thief (John 10:10). He was and
will always be a stinking thief, intent on stealing from God's people. What
do thieves do steal? Valuable things. What is it that he is ever-wanting to
steal from you and me? The answer is simple: every good thing that God has
given us.
* Our peace (that peace that passes all human understanding and guards our
hearts in Christ)
* Our joy (that force beyond mere happiness that keeps us strong in even
the hardest of times)
* Our revelation of righteousness; oh, how he ever longs to get us back
into the grind of performance and works-based religion.

But I think the one he really, really wants is your confidence. Why? Because
Hebrews says it is of great reward.

He wants to snatch from under you your confidence in:
* Who you are – your God-given identity (he is the greatest identity thief
of them all)
* What you can do – Your God-given potential and abilities
* What you can have or expect – Your God-given expectations and promised
lands

Your God-based confidence is of great reward, because when, with confidence,
you endure (just keep on going) you will inherit (come into possession) all
that God has promised you. If he can get you to cast away that confidence
then he can block you inheriting all that God has for you. Don't let him!

If you've ever watched people walking around the shops you can tell by how
people hold and carry themselves those who have confidence and those who
don't. Those with confidence have their heads lifted and their shoulders
back, and they walk with steps that say "I belong here". That's how God
wants you to walk through this and every day; His word should ever cause you
to lift your head, put back your shoulders and face the day and all it holds
with courage and boldness because, as with Joshua so it is with you - GOD IS
WITH YOU!

_Confidence does not need to be loud it needs to be silently deep rooted!_

Often quiet confidence has more power than loud confidence; that confidence
that you have deep down that quietly yet firmly says, "I know God is for me
and His promises over me are yes and amen, I know that things may seem
strange now but THEY WILL TURN AROUND FOR MY GOOD!"

Isaiah 30:15b
In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.

The world can only take away or take back from you what it gave you. That is
why we do not live by worldly-given confidence but God's because then, when
the world or the devil try to take or steal it, we can say, "Get stuffed -
you did not give it so you cannot take it away!" Hold tight to the
confidence you have in God today, be that hero He has called you to be
because the Lord thy God is with you, Champion! Today, live confident, get
your head up - you're a child of God, not a pauper.

Good morning! It's Friday, and we stand on the edge of another great
weekend.

=SEE YOURSELF THROUGH HIS EYES=

Jeremiah 29:11–14 (NIV)
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper
you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will
call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will
seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by
you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back from captivity.

We have been looking at these verses all week, and drawn some great
principles from it:
1. God has plans for you. You don't have to settle for yours or other
people's.
2. His plans are to do you good and involve health, wealth and future.
3. He wants to daily reveal to us the true potential we have within; that
which He packed in us before we were born.
4. He is not looking for superstars - just faithful, agreeable people who
will say "Yes!" even when they feel potentially unable in their own
ability.

The Bible is full of people that were unlikely but chosen by God; to name
just a few:
* _Moses_: On the run, speech impediment – God uses Him to deliver a
nation from captivity.
* _Gideon_: Found hiding in a wine press with nothing positive to say –
God uses him to lead armies into battle totally outnumbered.
* _David_: Was a shepherd boy, overlooked and despised by His own family
– God saw a king, the king of all Israel.
* _Rahab_: A prostitute – God used her to lead the children of Israel
through a vital part of their journey.

The Bible has so many more. The point is, God has plans for you! Don't worry
about what you think you can do - if He calls you to a purpose He has
equipped you for it; that's grace.

_Couple more thoughts_

When we discover His plans for our lives we know according to the above
verses that, when we pray, He listens. That's a great thought for today:
know in your heart when you pray to the Father that He listens. He may be
running a universe but He will take time to stop and listen to you. Also, He
is there to be found by us - all we need to do is seek Him with all of our
hearts. He is not hiding not to be found, but to see if anyone can be
bothered. Be bothered! Seek Him and He promises you will find Him.

Thirdly, He promises to bring us ever out of captivity. Remember what
Galatians says: "It was for freedom that Christ has set you free". God wants
to daily break the power of captivity in our lives, whether it be emotional,
financial or any other area. His plans for you are freedom, freedom in every
area of your life – who the Son sets free is free indeed. Again, today,
submit to Him, worship Him, commit your ways to Him and let Him lead you out
of captivity and into freedom beyond what you have ever known.

Bless you, I pray you have a great weekend. Let's live for the King and
advance His kingdom.

Good morning, Champion.

=GOD LOVES TO USE THE UNLIKELY=

Jeremiah 29:11–14 (NIV)
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper
you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will
call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will
seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by
you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back from captivity.

_God always chooses to use unlikely people to do incredible things!_

When we meet Jeremiah in chapter one (when God picks him for a purpose), we
do not see a superstar but someone who looks like an 'everyday fella'. God
does this on purpose because He is not looking for superstars, He is looking
for people who are faithful and will trust Him and His promises beyond their
perceived capabilities.

God is not like a judge from the _X Factor_ or _Pop Idol_ - He does not
select according to what we currently may look like or how we currently
perform. Rather, He chooses according to what He sees in us and what He
knows we can do, because He formed us and because of His grace! Look at what
God says to Jeremiah when He first approaches him and lets him know His
plans.

Jeremiah 1:4–6 (NIV)
The word of the LORD came to me, saying, "Before I formed you in the womb I
knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet
to the nations." "Ah, Sovereign LORD," I said, "I do not know how to speak;
I am only a child."

God knew his true potential and capabilities before Jeremiah did, and that
is so true with us. It is when we meet the Lord and listen to Him that we
discover what we are actually capable of and we, as Jeremiah, become amazed
by what God has pre-packed into our lives and equipped us with the potential
to do. God loves to use normal, unlikely people because then the glory goes
to Him. He does not want people running around thinking they did it by their
own ability. That's why, throughout the Bible, you see God approach everyday
people, with everyday hang ups, and ask them to do things that are totally
impossible; guess what, He still does that today.

He sees you according to what He made you to be, not according to what
others say about you or even what you may say about you. Everyone of us has
God potential packed inside of the suitcase of our life that we only
discover is there when He begins to speak to us.

_God does not see or judge as man does._

Think of David: when God sent Samuel the prophet to find Saul's replacement
as king He sent him to a man called Jesse with many sons, and said, "I will
show you who it is to be". Jesse brought out all his strong and
full-of-potential sons except one; he left David on the hill looking after
sheep. The prophet Samuel went to each son - each strong with natural
ability - but to each one God said, "No!" Then Samuel said to Jesse, "Are
there any more?" It was then that he brought David out, a small
ruddy-looking shepherd boy. But the great truth is, when others saw a
shepherd boy, God saw a king!

This is what God said to Samuel the prophet.

1 Samuel 16:7 (NIV)
But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or at his
physical stature, because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as
man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the
heart."

God is looking at you today through the eyes of what He has designed you to
be. Like Jeremiah, when you agree with what He is calling you, the potential
He has pre-packed inside of you comes alive and activates to fulfill God's
purposes. Again, the question is, "Will you agree with what God is saying
about you, champion?" Why not take a moment to read 1 Samuel 16 again today
and be blessed as you see that God does not select people like man does - He
looks at the heart not the current performance.

Good morning, Champion. Let's stick around these verses in Jeremiah, I think
there is a lot of goodness still in them.

=YOUR WILL BE DONE, IN MY LIFE AS IT IS IN HEAVEN=

Jeremiah 29:11–14 (NIV)
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper
you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will
call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will
seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by
you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back from captivity.

The last couple of days we have been looking at this powerful portion of
scripture and thinking about God's plans for our lives. I want to stay with
it again today and challenge you to see that God wants to use your life to
bring divine life-saving miracles and plans into this needy world.

God knows the state of the world and knows what is needed to help people and
change situations. He has everything that is needed in heaven but needs to
get them present and active on the earth. God has always chosen to use
everyday, normal people to release and fulfill His incredible plans and
blessings.

He looks for a faithful person who will say, "Yes!" That's it, the only
qualifications He needs are faithfulness and agreement. Think back to how He
got the greatest gift and plan of all time (Jesus) to the earth – it was
through an agreeing young virgin called Mary. God knew that all the world
needed was Jesus, His son, that He would save and change humanity by perfect
redemption and grace. But Jesus did not just appear – He came through the
womb and life of a young girl whom God had chosen to use for His plans;
indeed, those plans brought prosperity, hope and future not just to Mary but
to the human race.

In Luke 1 we read how an angel of the Lord comes to Mary, as with Jeremiah,
out of the blue and announces the Father's plans for Jesus to come to the
earth, born through her. God makes His plans known, but nothing happens yet;
she does not become pregnant till she says these famous words of humility
and submission:

-Luke 1:38b (NIV) "Let it be to me according to your word."-

Mary was not violated! It was after she said, "Yes, Lord, use me" that she
supernaturally conceived and the miracle began. Nine months later she gave
birth to a God masterplan: Jesus!
* What is God saying to you that He wants to do or bring to the earth
through you?
* Will you say, as Mary did, "Let it be according to Your plans", or stick
with your own?
* The world needs you to be a carrier and point of release for heaven's
intentions. That may be a ministry or a business, or both. God will use
what He has made you good at. You have been prepared for His purposes
and at the right time ignition is made with the simplest "Yes!".

Mother Theresa was another lady who said yes, and thousands of forgotten,
overlooked children were cared for, who would have died unloved and hungry.
Saying "Yes!" to God can cause incredible things to happen in our world!

Your will be done, Lord, in me as it is in heaven.

Good morning, Champion

=AGREE WITH WHAT HE IS DECLARING OVER YOU=

Jeremiah 29:11–14 (NIV)
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper
you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will
call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will
seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by
you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back from captivity.

We looked yesterday at these great promises concerning our Godly destiny,
and established that it was not just a single promise to a single man named
Jeremiah but the Lord also declares this over you and me today in the 21st
Century! I love how it does not say 'mumble' or 'whisper' but rather He
_declares._ God declares over you today plans of prosperity, hope and a
future as you walk in His ways. All He is looking for from us is agreement:
He has provided everything to make what He says can happen in your life a
reality, He just needs you to agree with His plans for your life to cause
activation.

He is a God who designed choice; He will not violate your choice but He will
inspire you with incredible tomorrows. He did this with Abraham. When God
stepped into Abraham's life he was not down and out – Abram, as he was then,
was living, as far as we can see, a pretty good life. God had a great life
for Him but Abram had to want it – God turns up and reveals His plans for
Abram, plans to take him from mere good to great.

Genesis 12:1–4 (NIV)
The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your
father's household and go to the land I will show you. I will make you into
a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you
will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you
I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you." So
Abram left, as the LORD had told him; and Lot went with him. Abram was
seventy-five years old when he set out from Haran.

That awesome speech must have made Abraham's pretty good plans for His life
look suddenly quite small! But as you read on you notice that nothing kicked
in until Abraham left what he had planned and stepped into and embraced what
God had planned. The plans of God for our lives kick in when we let go or
step out of ours (the ones that are opposite to His) and embrace His.

Remember, Abraham was 75 years old when he made this choice. You are _never_
too old or have spent too much of your life for the promises and plans of
God to come into play! Also, when you're living in the plans of God for your
life, as with Abraham, He blesses those who bless you and curses those who
curse you.

It also says when you live in the revealed plans of God for your life
"people of the earth are blessed through you". Why? Because God's plans for
you are always bigger than you! He wants to bless your life and the world
you are in far beyond you. He will cause your life, ministry or business to
save, restore and refresh thousands of people apart from you, many that you
don't even know.

Lastly, God says, "I know the plans I have for you". The good news is, He is
not wanting to keep them a secret, He wants you to know His plans too. There
are no trick questions or puzzle-like teasing: He wants you to know and live
out His destiny and plans for your life today. Just as He did with Abraham,
so He will do with you. So today, be listening, be hungry for Him, be ready
to step out of and step into, be ready to let go of and to embrace!

Abraham probably thought he was leaving and letting go of a lot, because
when you are in something it is all you know. But how different what he had
left looked when he found himself standing in what God had for him! Trust
Him; He never takes away without giving back better.

Good morning, Champion; welcome to a brand new week.

=HIS PLANS ARE BIGGER THAN YOURS!=

Jeremiah 29:11–14 (NIV)
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper
you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will
call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will
seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by
you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back from captivity.

Here again is one of my all time favorite verses.

God reveals to this everyday man living an everyday life, "Hey, I got plans
for you, and not just any old plans – great ones". Know today, Champion,
that God has plans for you. We are living on the other side of the cross
where God has restored us to Himself through redemption. His plans for us
would never be less then Jeremiah's, only more. These verses challenge me to
think destiny, and I hope they challenge you that way this morning, too.

We may all have our own plans for our lives, which may seem great, but they
are nothing when held against His plans for our lives. When we discover His
plans and purposes in our hearts to live them out, we are living as Jeremiah
did, in God-given destiny for the purposes for which you were born.

_His plans are better than yours!_

Let's face it, none of us are idiots and our plans are always pretty good,
but His are always far beyond what we can imagine (Ephesians 3:20).

Remember again today they are plans to:
* _Prosper you!_ That's not just a financial promise; His plans today are
to prosper every area of your life and existence: your family, health,
friendships, and everything else that makes you you. As you say yes to
His plans prosperity breaks out today.
* _Not to harm you!_ God is not out to harm you today but to do you good.
As any doting father, God is out to do His kids good today. Don't
anticipate harm from His hand, but blessing.
* _Give you hope and a future!_ He gives you today real hope in a world
where hopelessness is ever-growing. All across the world people's hopes
are failing them, but yours won't! Your future is in His hands – don't
fear what man may threaten to do to you; trust in God that His plans and
destiny for you are unmovable and certain. Christ is our cornerstone,
and when we build on Him we cannot and will not be shaken.

Today, live like a person residing in the intentions and plans of God, like
Abraham, as we walk in God-given destiny. Where ever we go we are blessed
and we are a blessing. Jeremiah had to choose "my plans or His plans" – the
same choice is ours. Come on, let's face it – it has to be His plans: "YOUR
WILL BE DONE FOR MY LIFE AND IN MY LIFE TODAY, AMEN"

I pray you have a destiny-filled day today, where you again experience His
favour, prosperity and great hope.

Good morning, Champion! The weekend is here again. Here's a Friday fry up
for you. Lets look at a thought from book of Daniel, the famous account of
the furnace and the Fourth man, hope this gives you something to think about
and digest over the weekend.

=WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKES=

Daniel 3:24–25 (NKJV)
"Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished; and he rose in haste and spoke,
saying to his counselors, 'Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of
the fire?' They answered and said to the king, 'True, O king.' 'Look!' he
answered, 'I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they
are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.'"

If you look for Jesus in the whole Bible, not just the Gospels, you will see
Him (or a type or shadow of Him) in every single book. Throughout the Old
Testament He pops up, and one of the greatest examples of this is here in
Daniel 3 when He appears in the fire with the three men who stood up for God
before Nebuchadnezzar. If you get chance this weekend to read Daniel 3 go
ahead and do so – it's a great chapter.

The three men – Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego – had taken a stand to only
worship God; they had rejected the political correctness of their day and
stood out in the crowd for it. As with Daniel they had been set up by other
envious leaders, boxed into a corner where it was down to them worshipping a
golden statue erected as a god to see if they would live or die. They
refused and were thrown into a furnace that had been heated seven times
hotter because of the king's annoyance at them. The king, thinking he had
sorted the problem, looked into the furnace and saw the three men perfectly
well and also another person. The reason He was _like the Son of God_ was
because He _was_ the Son of God!

When you take a stand to live a life where you 'turn up and stand up for
God' He will turn up and stand up for you - in the good places _and_ in the
challenging ones, too. We do not face a physical furnace but we do face
other furnace-like challenges in life: the fire of people's opinion who
don't like God, the fire of mockery and threats of what we could lose, the
fires of trials and persecutions. Stand for Him and He will turn up for
you!

As with Daniel in the account of the lion's den, the day ended a lot
different to how it began. The day began with the three men being thrown
into a fire for what they believed, and a nation that would not recognize
their leadership or their God. The day ended with the people who had set
them up being thrown into the furnace, and with the three men being promoted
and their God becoming famous in the land, and honored by the once
unbelieving king.

_"What a difference a day makes - 24 little hours": live a life where you
stand up for Him and He will cause a bad day to turn into a great one! _

If you face a furnace today of one sort or another, stay in faith - step
into it knowing your righteousness in Him, and that God can _and will_ save
the day, then wait for everything to turn around for your benefit when the
fourth man arrives!

It may take a day, like it was for the three men, or maybe it will take a
little longer - keep trusting, the fourth man will be there in perfect time.

God bless you, live for the true King (the one who comes and joins you in
the furnace).
