Good morning, Champion; welcome to a brand new week.
=HIS PLANS ARE BIGGER THAN YOURS!=
Jeremiah 29:11–14 (NIV)
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper
you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will
call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will
seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by
you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back from captivity.
Here again is one of my all time favorite verses.
God reveals to this everyday man living an everyday life, "Hey, I got plans
for you, and not just any old plans – great ones". Know today, Champion,
that God has plans for you. We are living on the other side of the cross
where God has restored us to Himself through redemption. His plans for us
would never be less then Jeremiah's, only more. These verses challenge me to
think destiny, and I hope they challenge you that way this morning, too.
We may all have our own plans for our lives, which may seem great, but they
are nothing when held against His plans for our lives. When we discover His
plans and purposes in our hearts to live them out, we are living as Jeremiah
did, in God-given destiny for the purposes for which you were born.
_His plans are better than yours!_
Let's face it, none of us are idiots and our plans are always pretty good,
but His are always far beyond what we can imagine (Ephesians 3:20).
Remember again today they are plans to:
* _Prosper you!_ That's not just a financial promise; His plans today are
to prosper every area of your life and existence: your family, health,
friendships, and everything else that makes you you. As you say yes to
His plans prosperity breaks out today.
* _Not to harm you!_ God is not out to harm you today but to do you good.
As any doting father, God is out to do His kids good today. Don't
anticipate harm from His hand, but blessing.
* _Give you hope and a future!_ He gives you today real hope in a world
where hopelessness is ever-growing. All across the world people's hopes
are failing them, but yours won't! Your future is in His hands – don't
fear what man may threaten to do to you; trust in God that His plans and
destiny for you are unmovable and certain. Christ is our cornerstone,
and when we build on Him we cannot and will not be shaken.
Today, live like a person residing in the intentions and plans of God, like
Abraham, as we walk in God-given destiny. Where ever we go we are blessed
and we are a blessing. Jeremiah had to choose "my plans or His plans" – the
same choice is ours. Come on, let's face it – it has to be His plans: "YOUR
WILL BE DONE FOR MY LIFE AND IN MY LIFE TODAY, AMEN"
I pray you have a destiny-filled day today, where you again experience His
favour, prosperity and great hope.
