Good morning, Champion – welcome to a brand new year!
=THE YEAR OF THE BELIEVER=
Psalm 65:11 (New Living Translation)
"You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways
overflow with abundance."
As we take our first few footsteps into this brand new year let us do so
with expectancy of our God doing great things for us and through us. May we
all embrace and confess this lovely Psalm over our lives and all the
_pathways_ that may lay ahead.
About this time of year when you go to the Chinese take-away, they give you
their customary 'free calendar', which is normally made of fake bamboo and
has animal symbols down the side describing certain years. You can get
everything from the year of the pig to the year of the rat in their line up
of prophesied years. I choose to believe in what God speaks over my next
twelve months; I believe that He is saying over this year that it will be
the year of the believer, the year of the people of faith. Those who dare to
simply believe His word and promises in a childlike way will see and
experience incredible things indeed.
What you believe and choose to confess over this brand new year we have just
entered can determine what you experience from it. Why not speak out over
this yet-unlived year prophetic words of faith and hope; speak out words
based on the promises of God that fit the year you really want. Psalm 65:11
gives us a great statement of blessing that we can all declare over 2010.
* God will crown this year with a bountiful harvest – may this be true for
every part of it, may prosperity break out for you in bountiful measure.
* God will cause even your hardest pathways, things you have to walk
through, to overflow with abundance, not crumble up with lack.
Champion, don't settle for the year that others want to forecast for you;
rather, stand on God's word and begin to speak out the one that you desire
to experience, a year crowned with plenty where even the tough times bare
great fruit for you.
