Good morning, Champion. Let's stick around these verses in Jeremiah, I think
there is a lot of goodness still in them.
=YOUR WILL BE DONE, IN MY LIFE AS IT IS IN HEAVEN=
Jeremiah 29:11–14 (NIV)
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper
you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will
call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will
seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by
you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back from captivity.
The last couple of days we have been looking at this powerful portion of
scripture and thinking about God's plans for our lives. I want to stay with
it again today and challenge you to see that God wants to use your life to
bring divine life-saving miracles and plans into this needy world.
God knows the state of the world and knows what is needed to help people and
change situations. He has everything that is needed in heaven but needs to
get them present and active on the earth. God has always chosen to use
everyday, normal people to release and fulfill His incredible plans and
blessings.
He looks for a faithful person who will say, "Yes!" That's it, the only
qualifications He needs are faithfulness and agreement. Think back to how He
got the greatest gift and plan of all time (Jesus) to the earth – it was
through an agreeing young virgin called Mary. God knew that all the world
needed was Jesus, His son, that He would save and change humanity by perfect
redemption and grace. But Jesus did not just appear – He came through the
womb and life of a young girl whom God had chosen to use for His plans;
indeed, those plans brought prosperity, hope and future not just to Mary but
to the human race.
In Luke 1 we read how an angel of the Lord comes to Mary, as with Jeremiah,
out of the blue and announces the Father's plans for Jesus to come to the
earth, born through her. God makes His plans known, but nothing happens yet;
she does not become pregnant till she says these famous words of humility
and submission:
-Luke 1:38b (NIV) "Let it be to me according to your word."-
Mary was not violated! It was after she said, "Yes, Lord, use me" that she
supernaturally conceived and the miracle began. Nine months later she gave
birth to a God masterplan: Jesus!
* What is God saying to you that He wants to do or bring to the earth
through you?
* Will you say, as Mary did, "Let it be according to Your plans", or stick
with your own?
* The world needs you to be a carrier and point of release for heaven's
intentions. That may be a ministry or a business, or both. God will use
what He has made you good at. You have been prepared for His purposes
and at the right time ignition is made with the simplest "Yes!".
Mother Theresa was another lady who said yes, and thousands of forgotten,
overlooked children were cared for, who would have died unloved and hungry.
Saying "Yes!" to God can cause incredible things to happen in our world!
Your will be done, Lord, in me as it is in heaven.
